Although I have never belonged to a union, I do see their value. While critics like to point to unions destroying the auto industry, they hold up the Japanese business model as a better(non-union)example. If this is such a great model why have the Japanese(non union) auto makers already gone to the Japanese gov't for bailouts? I sit the workers who have gotten their ass kicked in the market by not designing cars that people want? Is it the unions paying these CEOs billions to drive their companies in the wrong direction? Is it organized labor that caused the collapse of the housing/banking industries? No it was lack of control over greedy corporate America that has been given a license to steal primarily at the expense of middle class America. Joe, why don't you spend a little of your time calling for the heads of these mortgage companies who used unscrupulous,and probably illegal, practices while they were skimming off billions in bonuses and putting people out of their homes.<br />Philip GriffinAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
